12 Vegan Restaurants in Bangkok Worth Visiting

Bangkok is one of the easiest cities in Asia to eat vegan—HappyCow lists more than 100 vegan restaurants here.

During my many trips to Bangkok, I tried plenty and found a handful I kept returning to.

This guide highlights 10 vegan restaurants in Bangkok I really enjoyed, including affordable eats, plus a few more popular spots I’m saving for next time.

If you plan to visit Thailand, I highly recommend going during the annual 10-day Thailand Vegetarian Festival in October. It’s a vegan heaven.

➡️ If you’re visiting Bangkok for the first time, make sure to read my Bangkok itinerary post next.

1. VEGANERIE

VEGANERIE has eight locations throughout Bangkok, with a few inside malls like Siam Paragon.

The curry is filled with chunks of potato and carrot, all served in a black bowl on a marble table. Top vegan restaurants in Bangkok

VEGANERIE is one of the most well-known vegan restaurants in Bangkok.

They serve burgers, rice plates, Thai dishes, and really good vegan desserts.

Their price ranges from $5 USD for their rice bowls to $8 USD for their burger sets.

I often go here while visiting other tourist sites since they have multiple locations.

My favorite is their Vegan Soy Banoffee Waffles and Chocolate Waffles:

A decadent serving of vegan soy banoffee waffles from VEGANERIE Concept, garnished with a dollop of whipped cream topped with a branded flag.

Their veganized Khao Soi is already very good and flavorful:

2. V Street

Address: Emsphere, Sukhumvit Rd, Khlong Tan, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

A plate with fried rice, a fried chicken wing, a bowl of clear soup with green onions, and a side of breaded fried cutlet with dipping sauce garnished with cilantro.

V Street is located on the ground floor of the Emsphere Mall and is walkable from the Phrom Phong BTS station.

Their food is some of the best I’ve had in Thailand.

I got the Vegan Drunken Fried Rice ($9 USD) with a vegan egg plus a side of Vegan Katsu ($3 USD).

They have a large menu selection of rice plates, noodles, and wraps.

Pricier than your average vegan spot, but the food here was so well-seasoned and prepared. It’ll be one of the first spots I return to.

3. May Veggie Home

Address: 738 Sukhumvit 101 Alley, Khwaeng Bang Chak, Khet Phra Khanong, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10260

A bowl of aromatic vegan green curry, rich and creamy with coconut milk, filled with green vegetables and red chili slices for a spicy kick. The curry is served in a traditional white bowl with a blue rim and includes a spoon, set on a woven placemat, with a plate of fresh spring rolls in the background
Fresh vegan spring rolls packed with vibrant greens, purple cabbage, and shredded carrots, sprinkled with sesame seeds. A spoon is poised above, drizzling a clear, amber-hued sauce, enhancing the rolls' fresh ingredients, all presented on a green leaf-shaped plate

May Veggie Home was one of the first vegan restaurants in Bangkok that I visited during a 2015 Thailand trip.

They recently moved locations to a big open-spaced restaurant near the Punnawithi BTS station.

They have a large menu of mostly vegan Thai dishes.

Their price ranges from $4-7 USD.

I got the fresh spring rolls, green curry, and vegan Thai iced tea.

4. Vegan Mahanakhon

Address: 661 Arun Amarin Rd, ศิริราช Bangkok Noi, Bangkok 10700, Thailand

Crispy fried cutlet served over a dome of white rice, surrounded by golden curry sauce and topped with thin chili strips. The dish is neatly plated on a textured black plate.

Vegan Mahanakhon is a higher-end restaurant near Wat Arun.

I took my parents here and they said it’s some of the best vegan food they had.

We got the Assorted Thai Appetizer Platter ($11 USD), Stir-fried Basil Pork or Kaprao ($6), Vegan Pork Belly ($6), Tom Kha ($7), Massaman Curry with Roti ($8), plus mango and watermelon smoothies.

Crispy fried cutlet served over a dome of white rice, surrounded by golden curry sauce and topped with thin chili strips. The dish is neatly plated on a textured black plate.

My favorites were the Kaprao and Tom Kha.

They also have a sister restaurant Vegan Pranakhon that serves more fusion-Thai food.

5. Baanying’s Plant-Based Ying’s Garden

Address (new location): Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330

A blurred background features a glass of iced green tea and a metal bowl of soup with mushrooms and greens, suggesting a comfortable dining setting

I went to Ying’s Garden a few times during a recent Bangkok trip in November 2023.

It was one of the few vegan restaurants in Bangkok near the centralwOrld area where I was staying, though they recently moved to a new location inside Hotel Ratchadamri.

vegan pork omelette served in a bowl accompanied by a tall glass of iced coffee with a straw. The omelette is topped with a generous amount of pink vegan pork bits, and the background hints at a cozy café atmosphere with a soup bowl and a plush, cream-colored seat.

Their price ranges from $4-7 USD.

My favorite dishes were the vegan pork omelette and coconut soup with malindjo leaves and mushroom.

Even though they moved locations in Bangkok, it’s a restaurant I’ll definitely revisit.

6. Kaek Kao Kua

Address: 12 Sukhumvit Soi 27, Klongtoey Nua, Watthana, Bangkok 10110

The image displays a hearty bowl of vegan noodles from Kaek Kao Kua Vegan Restaurant in Bangkok, almost finished, with a pair of chopsticks resting on top. The bowl contains spicy noodles, a large piece of vegan fish ball, a crispy wonton, and a slice of daikon radish, all with a light coating of chili oil, highlighting the robust and flavorful vegan options available in Bangkok's culinary scene.

Kaek Kao Kua is a popular vegan Thai noodle eatery, more located inside a family home building.

I actually tried their dish at a vegan market during the annual Thailand Vegetarian Festival in 2023.

After trying their noodles, I understood why it was a popular local eatery. So flavorful!

Their dishes cost around $4-5 USD.

7. Mercy Republic

Address: 120/17 ถนน สุขุมวิท Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

A plate of curry sauce with rice topped with crispy fried chicken strips, garnished with thin green herbs and red pepper slices on a black textured plate.

Mercy Republic is an all-vegan restaurant and hip-hop themed restaurant and bar near Sukhumvit station.

They serve fusion food like curries, pizza, noodle dishes, burgers, and bar food.

I got the Tonkatsu Panang Curry Rice ($8.50 USD) and a smoothie.

The tonkatsu was nicely crisp and the curry was so flavorful. I’d go here again to try other items.

The next vegan spots offer inexpensive but solid vegan Thai food in Bangkok.

They’re usually located in the food courts of malls in Bangkok and cost $1-3 per combo meal.

8. So Vegan

So Vegan is a vegan food stall with multiple locations in Bangkok.

I went here often since it was right down the street from one of my stays.

You can buy a rice plate meal for as little as $1.50 USD, or order from their cook-to-order menu.

The food was fresh and filling.

9. Terminal 21 Vegetarian Stall (Mall Food Court)

Address: 88 Soi Sukhumvit 19, Khlong Toei Nuea, Thawi Watthana, Bangkok 10110

The image shows a vegan and vegetable rice meal from a vegetarian stall at the Terminal 21 Mall Food Court in Bangkok. The meal is accompanied by a side of steamed broccoli, emphasizing a balance of flavors and nutrition.

Terminal 21 has a vegetarian stall on the fifth floor of the mall’s food court.

You choose items from the counter or order from their menu.

You choose 3 items + rice for around $1 USD. I visited a few times as it was close to another stay.

10. Talalaks (Siam Paragon Mall Food Court)

Address: 991 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330

Talalaks is a vegan food stall on the ground floor of the Siam Paragon food court.

Their rice plate meal costs around $2-3 USD where you can choose from different options.

I usually always get a curry as one of them.

It’s a solid and very filling meal. Ask to heat it up or it’ll be lukewarm by default.

11. Walee (EmQuartier Mall Food Court)

Address: The Emquartier 693 Sukhumvit Rd, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110

The plate consists of a hearty serving of multi-grain rice, a vibrant yellow bamboo shoot curry, a side of mixed vegetable curry with carrot and potato, and a small bowl of green curry with tofu, showcasing the diversity of vegan Thai cuisine in a mall setting.

Walee is another vegan food stall, located on the food court of the EmQuartier Mall.

The mall is located right next to the Phrom Phong BTS station.

Their combo rice meal costs about $2 USD.

12. Shine Thong Vegetarian Food (CentralWorld Food Court)

Address: Ratchadamri Rd, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand

A set meal with a scoop of purple rice, a clear broth with leafy greens and tofu, and a light curry soup with tofu and vegetables.

If you’re visiting CentralWorld and are looking for vegan food, go to the Shine Thong Vegetarian Food, similar to the other vegan food stalls mentioned here.

It can be quite hard to find and is located on the ground floor food court.

You will need to purchase a loadable voucher first from the food court’s machines and the stall will scan it.

This meal was around $2-3 USD.
