Travel Packing Essentials

Anker Power Bank: I always bring a power bank with me. This is a must travel investment, and you want one that can hold a lot of charge. Anker powerbanks are solid and can provide multiple charges.

Sony ZV-E10 Mirrorless Camera: If I’m not using my iPhone, I bring my Sony ZV-E10 in white with me. It’s compact & perfect for vlogging. Paired with Rode Wireless II Go mics.

Universal International Adapter: This is another must if you don’t want to buy several country-specific plugs to charge your phone and such. This one from EPICKA has been solid and good quality!

Good walking shoes: You’re most likely going to be walking a lot. I wear Xero Shoes – I can walk for hours and not have sore feet.

Where do you book flights?

Skyscanner: This is the site I use most. I can check which days are cheapest out of a whole month. This helps me plan out my travel destinations as well.

Where do you book accommodations?

Superior Queen Room with large white bed and hello sign on wall Travelodge Myeongdong City Hall - Best where to stay in Seoul

Agoda.com: I’ve found that Agoda usually has the cheapest rates for hotels. This is where I book a majority of my stays in Asia if I don’t use Airbnb.

Booking.com: This site is another great one and sometimes has hotels not featured on Agoda. It’s one of the most popular and dependable booking sites.

What data do you use when traveling?

Screenshot of Airalo Thailand eSIM plans, 3 purble and blue blocks of plan and cost information

Airalo: I’ve purchased both country-specific and regional esims on Airalo. You can use my code ROSEAN3468 for $3 USD off your first purchase.

Nomad: I’ve also used Nomad to buy esims in the Philippines. Another great esim provider for different countries as well. Use my code ROSE84NH for $3 USD off.

MobiMatter: I’ve used MobiMatter in three countries now. It’s usually the cheaper option, but with reliable network performance. Use my code RDUCU28040 for up to $5 USD off.

Do you use Travel Insurance?

Safetywing: While I haven’t had to use it thankfully, getting travel insurance from Safetywing was straightforward. This insurance can cover multiples countries with one policy and is pretty affordable.

Where do you book tours?

Tourists walking on the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China near Beijing in November, showcasing the travel experience for a Beijing travel guide. One of the top things to see in Beijing itinerary

Klook.com: Klook is one of the most popular sites to book travel tours. The prices range too and include both private and group tours. You can also book transportation on Klook as well.

Viator.com: Another well-known site to book tours. You can find a lot of adventure activities here as well that Klook may not have.

What luggage do you use?

An orange hard-shell suitcase with a textured surface, featuring multiple stickers on the front. The stickers include various designs such as a small circular sticker labeled "LUCAS," a "MONSTA X: THE DREAMING" sticker, a logo for "ALAMAT," an "SB19" logo, a cartoonish monkey with a red beret holding a flower, and a "CRAVITY" logo near the bottom. The suitcase has four wheels, and the photo is taken in a dimly lit indoor setting.

Osprey daypack: I’ve been using the same Osprey daypack with me for 8 years. Osprey’s a well-known brand with sturdy and good quality material. Mines can comfortably fit a 16″ Macbook pro.

Lucas Carry-On Suitcase: I just switched to a carry-on sized Lucas suitcase (after a few broken and cheap luggage). So far, so good!

eBags Packing Cubes: I have not replaced my packing cubes for 8 years now! I use 2 slim cubes and 1 medium cube. It saves a ton of space!
