Visit Annyeong Insadong, the Popular 6-Story Mall in Seoul
Annyeong Insadong Mall in Seoul
Address: 49 Insadong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea
The Insadong Shopping Street is one of the most popular places to visit in Seoul. And inside the shopping street is Annyeong Insadong, a 6-story shopping mall.
I went to Annyeong Insadong every time I ate at my favorite vegan restaurant in Seoul, Osegye Hyang, mostly to sit at one of their indoor or outdoor seatings, and for a quick bathroom break (they have really nice restrooms).
Here’s everything you need to know about Annyeong Insadong Mall, how to get there, and what makes it worth visiting.
If you’re a kpop fan visiting Seoul, Annyeong Insadong has a few kpop shops and a music cafe where you can listen to LP records.

What is Annyeong Insadong and Why Visit?
Annyeong Insadong is a modern cultural shopping and entertainment complex in Insadong Shopping Street. It was recently built in 2019.
There’s lots of cafes, restaurants, shops, and exhibitions that showcase South Korea’s traditional and modern culture.
There’s lots of unique experiences like a LP records cafe, traditional and pop-culture museums, and even a hotel on the fifth floor.
If it’s not raining, there’s usually outdoor markets with small businesses selling crafts, jewelry, and clothing.
Annyeong Insadong vs Ssamzigil Mall?
Annyeong Insadong is on the same street as Ssamzigil Mall, a 4-story mall that also sells traditional Korean crafts and souvenirs, as well as outdoor markets.
Both look very similar in structure. When I visited Seoul again in 2023, I thought Ssamzigil Mall was renovated into Annyeong Insadong Mall!
Annyeong Insadong Mall is more modern and has more restaurants, entertainment, and sitting areas. Both are still must-visits though!
