Filipino food may not be the most vegan-friendly cuisine, but the vegan Filipino community continues to grow in the Philippines and across the Filipino diaspora.
Thankfully, there’s vegan Filipinos helping pave the way and offering Filipino food for vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians, and plant-based folks without the food losing its essence.
Below are 13 vegan Filipino restaurants and vegan Filipino food options in several states across the United States, including California, Washington, and Florida.

Vegan Filipino Restaurants and Options in California
1. Chef Reina (Bay Area)

Chef Reina is the only vegan Filipino restaurant so far in the United States.
They serve classic dishes like vegan tocilog (tocino, “egg” and garlic rice), vegan lumpia, vegan lechon kawali, vegan sisig, chick’n adobo, pancit, kaldereta, ube pancakes and more.
They also have speciality items like katsu, burgers, tacos, and sandwiches.
You can dine-in, take out, or order one of their Care Packages, available nationwide. I’ve tried lots of vegan tocinos, and Chef Reina’s are the best I’ve tried!
2. Sans & Wolves (Los Angeles Area)

Sans & Wolves is a vegan bakery in Long Beach founded and run by baker extraordinaire Kym Estrada.
They do several vegan pop-ups throughout Los Angeles and southern California, and will be opening up a physical shop in 2024!
This vegan Filipino bakery specializes in plant-based, vegan Filipino baked goods including classic Filipino pastries like pan de sal, ensaymada and hopia, as well as unique Filipino fusion goods like ube cinnamon rolls, vegan tres leches cake, and customized cakes to order.
3. No Worries Vegan Filipino Food (Bay Area)

No Worries has been serving vegan Filipino food since 2011 with catering services, pop-ups, and online orders.
They offer a variety of vegan Filipino dishes like pancit, adobo, lumpia, bistek, menudo, and tinola.
They currently offer food delivery through Grubhub.
4. Mama Go’s at San Francisco International Airport
Address: San Francisco International Airport, Terminal 1, Gate B18
Mama Go’s is a Filipino restaurant located in Terminal 1 inside the San Francisco International Airport.
Their vegan Filipino options include vegetable chop suey stir fry, pancit bihon rice noodles, and vegan spamsilogrice bowl, which uses Omnifood’s vegan spam. Make sure to opt out of the egg.
Plus, in collaboration with Chef Reina, they now serve Chef Reina’s all-vegan specialities, like lechon kawali, tocino, tofu sisig, and kare kare.
For dessert, try the vegan karioka balls or vegan milk tea.
5. Senior Sisig (Bay Area)

Senior Sisig is a Filipino restaurant with locations across the Bay Area.
They offer a large vegan menu of the veganized options of their regular menus.
You get to choose from different vegan proteins. Their vegan Filipino dishes include:
- Vegan sisig tacos
- Vegan sisig burritos with adobo garlic rice
- Silog buritto
- Sisig nachos and sisig fries
- Sisig rice bowls and sisig salad
6. Sarap Shop (San Francisco)

Sarap Shop is a Filipino food business in San Francisco that offers vegan Filipino options.
You can find them in the Chase Center arena on floor 6, portal 49. Watch out for their new HQ space in the making.
Try their Impossible Curry Lumpia, vegan Loco Moco, and vegan Chippy Pie.

7. HiFi Kitchen (Los Angeles)

HiFi Kitchen is a casual Filipino restaurant located in the historic Filipino Town in Los Angeles. Their vegan options include:
- Veggie Sisig made with tofu and shiitake mushrooms. Ask for no egg.
- Veggie lumpia – make sure to ask for the vegan option.
- HiFi tacos – make sure to ask for the vegan option.
8. Salamat Vegan (Los Angeles)

Salamat Vegan is a pop-up shop that serves vegan Filipino food in Los Angeles. Their specialities are vegan lumpia spring rolls and vegan siopao buns.
They’re often at pop-ups hosted by @ThePlantBaseLA in Long Beach, CA.

9. Musang Seattle

Musang Seattle is a Filipino restaurant located in Seattle, Washington that offers a few vegan Filipino options.
You can order their vegan laing, or collards simmered in coconut milk and chillies, and even includes vegan bagoong. Their dinner menu also offers a veganized gising gising, which is green beans in coconut milk.

10. O.G. Lolas

O.G. Lolas is an all-vegan Filipino food pop-up based in Florida. They offer a variety of veganized Filipino dishes like vegan lumpia, sisig, pancit, and topsilog.
Plus, deserts like ube cassava cakes and vegan ube milk tea.
They can be found at various pop-up events and farmers markets throughout Florida, and sometimes in Las Vegas, Nevada!

11. Kaya

Kaya is a new casual fine-dining Filipino restaurant in Orlando, Florida and uses Florida-grown vegetables.
Currently, their vegan option is Mushroom Adobo, made with lion’s mane and oyster mushrooms in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic.

Vegan Filipino Restaurants and Options in Washington D.C.
12. Purple Patch

Purple Patch is a Filipino restaurant in DC that offers a good amount of vegan Filipino options on their menu.
Look for items marked “V” that can be veganized. Some dishes include:
- Fried tofu with choice of sweet & spicy calamansi sauce or spicy adobo sauce
- Eggplant adobo rice bowl
- Tofu hash with garlic fried rice
- Laing, or taro leaves stewed in coconut milk and chillis
- Ginataang butternut squash cooked in coconut milk
- Pancit canton and pancit bihon
For dessert, try their biko, a rice cake made with sticky rice, coconut milk, and brown sugar.

13. Anak Vegan

Anak Vegan does monthly pop-ups in Portland, Oregon. Their all-vegan menu includes items like lumpia shanghai, halo-halo, Filipino BBQ, and ube cheesecake lumpia! Everything looks so good. Make sure to check their Instagram for when and where they’ll be.
