Eight XO, Kitty Season 2 Filming Locations to Visit in Korea

I recently binged season 2 of XO, Kitty, and it was fun recognizing some sites in the show, plus ones I had to bring out my detective skills for.

Most of the XO, Kitty season 2 filming locations were set in Seoul, with a few in nearby cities.

Here are eight XO, Kitty season 2 filming locations that you can visit.

Plus locations I could not figure out at the end if you know!

1. Opening XO, Kitty Season 2 Filming Locations

While not scenes with actual cast, season 2 began with b-roll of iconic locations in Seoul, all of which I’ve visited and are beautiful in real life!

Here were some of them:

Seogang Bridge

This was the same bridge in season 2 of Squid Game during the limousine car chase.

A modern red-arched bridge spanning the Han River in Seoul, with urban skyscrapers and greenery on both sides, showcasing a mix of nature and city life.

Lotte World Tower

The Lotte World Tower in Seoul is the 6th tallest building in the world and was featured as b-roll a few times in season 2 of XO, Kitty.

The iconic statue of King Sejong in Gwanghwamun Square, with the backdrop of the Seoul skyline and mountains, a notable scene from "XO, Kitty" Season 2.

Other opening b-roll shots: Gwanghwamun Square, Cheonggyecheon Stream, Sevit Island, and Gyeongbokgung Palace.

2. KISS Campus

The iconic statue of King Sejong in Gwanghwamun Square, with the backdrop of the Seoul skyline and mountains, a notable scene from "XO, Kitty" Season 2.

KISS Campus is not an actual university, but many of the outdoor shots for XO, Kitty season 2 filming locations were filmed at Kaywon University of Art and Design.

This university is an hour south of Seoul in the city of Uiwang.

3. Hanok Hotel in Gangwon

A traditional Korean hanok cabin under a layer of snow, surrounded by lanterns and decorative wooden elements, exuding a cozy, festive winter atmosphere.

When the crew go on a trip, they go to a hanok cabin during wintertime.

This is a real hanok hotel called Kangsanje (강산재) located in Hongcheon in the Gangwon province.

Exterior and interior scenes were filmed here.

4. PC Bang in Gangnam

The iconic statue of King Sejong in Gwanghwamun Square, with the backdrop of the Seoul skyline and mountains, a notable scene from "XO, Kitty" Season 2.

The PC Bang internet cafe in XO, Kitty season 2 was Stella’s secret plotting location.

The internet cafe was actually a cafe called Coffee Factory with a similar banner design:

Though the cafe is now relocated, and the line of shops looks different in the show (photo above).

I did some detective work and found the location: Google Maps.

5. Concert Venue

A large outdoor event venue set up in a traditional palace courtyard, with bright stage lights and urban skyscrapers visible in the background.

With the help of Google Lens, I found out that the venue for the talent show in season 2 was set in Baekje Cultural Land.

Baekje Cultural Land is a history and culture-themed park in the province of Chungcheongnam, about a 3-4 hours journey from Seoul.

6. Sejong Food Street

A bustling food street at night, illuminated by hanging lanterns and neon signs, with characters strolling through a traditional marketplace.

When the roommates and friends go out to celebrate the start of the semester, they go to Sejong Food Street in the Jongno district.

I’ve never been, but it’s lined with beautiful lanterns just like in the show.

7. Common Ground

Common Ground shopping mall in Seoul, featuring stacked blue shipping containers with retail shops, a popular spot for filming and fashion in "XO, Kitty" Season 2.

Common Ground in the Gwangjin district is a shopping mall in converted blue shipping containers.

I’ve visited once and it has lots of shops and eateries.

This XO, Kitty season 2 filming location was used when Yuri and Dae were shopping for clothes, specifically at OLO.

8. Juliana and Q Boba Run

A modern café and boutique area in Seongsu, Seoul, with characters walking past a hanok-style bubble tea shop. The scene highlights the blending of traditional and contemporary styles.

A few blocks from Common Ground is the popular Seongsu area that Juliana and Q go for boba and discuss Kitty.

The place they walk out of is actually a mochi place called Han Jung Sun.

Unconfirmed XO Season 2 Filming Locations

I could not figure these out! If you know, let me know!

Searching for Kitty’s Great Aunt

A traditional Korean hanok-style house with blue tiled roofs surrounded by pots and a garden, representing the great aunt’s house from "XO, Kitty" Season 2.

Kitty and Min-ho go to a village to uncover her family’s history.

According to some sites, this may have been filmed in Bukjeong Village in Seoul, but I could not confirm it.

Traditional Market

A lively traditional market scene with stalls selling fresh produce, snacks, and various goods, with colorful banners and locals shopping.

Another significant XO, Kitty season 2 filming location is the traditional market where Kitty “runs” into her great aunt and cousin.

It doesn’t look like the popular Gwangjang Market, but an older traditional market.

Kitty & Yuri Look for VHS Player

A narrow alleyway in a traditional neighborhood featuring vintage storefronts, power lines crisscrossing overhead, and people strolling along the street. The scene blends old-school charm with urban vibrancy, showcasing a slice of local culture.

To play a tape that Kitty’s mom recorded, they go to an alleyway to rent a VHS player (turns out it was relocated).

Kitty and Peter Outing

A charming stationery store filled with colorful pens, art supplies, and decorative items, with two characters browsing inside.

Kitty and Peter go to this stationary store. In the scene, the store is called Moongubang, which doesn’t exist in real life.

Looks a cute store though!

I hope this post of XO, Kitty Season 2 filming locations was helpful!

I love visiting filming locations and seeing how filming and editing crews turn a random location into part of a show’s story and environment.
