Being vegan in the Philippines can sometimes be difficult, but the amount of vegan restaurants and businesses have increased over the past years, including one of the biggest and most close-knit vegan communities I’ve seen in my travels.
I’ve visited the Philippines more than 18 times already. Whenever I stay in Metro Manila, I love to go for the vegan restaurants in Makati.
The vegan food in Makati is really flavorful and filling, and some of these vegan restaurants in Makati are my go-to for vegan Filipino food.

7 Best Vegan Restaurants in Makati
1. Cosmic Philippines
Address: G/F, 4980 P. Guanzon, Poblacion, Makati, 1210 Metro Manila, Philippines
Cosmic Cafe is probably my favorite vegan restaurant in Makati, maybe in all of Philippines. They have two locations in Makati and Pasig.
If you want to try vegan Filipino food, this is the perfect place to go.
You have to get their vegan sisig. It’s the best I’ve tried. I’ve brought non-vegan friends to Cosmic and the sisig was their favorite, along with the vegan kare-kare with vegan lechon kawali.
2. Wabi-Sabi Noodle House + Ikigai Kakigori
Address: UG-4 MCS Fernando, Makati Cinema Square, Fernando St, cor Chino Roces Ave, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
Wabi-Sabi is another favorite that I frequent when in Makati. Most of their dishes are vegan, with the exception of a few vegetarian options.
Their most popular for their flavorful vegan tantanmen ramen.
They also serve vegan banh mi, baos, dumplings, and many other dishes at affordable prices.
In the same restaurant is their Ikigai cafe with vegan kakigori or Japanese shaved ice. It’s so good! I especially love their matcha kakigori.
3. Greenery Kitchen
Address: 2078 E Pascua, Makati, 1204 Metro Manila, Philippines
Greenery Kitchen is one my OG favorites and they have a vegan restaurant in Makati. They serve some of the best vegan filipino food in the Philippines.
You can also get their hot vegan meals at arrivals and departures at Terminal 3 of NAIA Manila Airport at Caffe Te Ree Ya.
4. Green Bar
Address: 106 Aguirre, Legazpi Village, Makati, 1229 Kalakhang, Manila, Philippines
Green Bar is my go-to vegan restaurant in Makati when I’ve craving healthy but comfort food and western-style dishes. The restaurant was started by vegan Filipino sisters from California.
They also have a display of vegan baked goods like donuts, cookies, brownies, and vegan Filipino baked goods like ensaymadas.
They have a large vegan menu of hot meals, handholds, drinks and even all-day breakfast items.
My favorites from Green Bar are their gyro fries, donuts, and tahini bowl.
5. Shaka Cafe
Address: 117-107 L.P. Leviste Street, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
Shaka is a vegan restaurant chain with seven locations in the Philippines. They serve filling, healthy comfort food like burgers, noodle dishes, and breakfast items.
They’re also popular for their smoothies bowls and really good drinks. I always leave feeling satisfyingly full.
6. iVegan
Address: LPL Tower, 112 Legazpi Street, Legazpi Village, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
If you’re shopping at Greenbelt Malls in Makati, head to iVegan restaurant. They serve healthier versions of western dishes, vegan Filipino dishes, and Chinese dishes.
7. Shirley’s Just Vegan
Address: 9782 B Kamagong, Makati, 1017 Kalakhang Maynila, Philippines
I have not yet been to this vegan restaurant in Makati, but I’ve only seen good reviews.
I have tried their frozen vegan fried chicken to cook at home, and it was good and flavorful.
They offer vegan Filipino dishes like sisig, tocino, as well as other dishes like tonkatsu and shawarma rice, and decadent vegan desserts.

Kahatea
Address: 1777, 1208 Nicanor Garcia, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
Kahatea a must whenever I go to the Philippines. They also have other locations in Manila.
Kahatea offers Filipino-themed vegan milk tea that represents different provinces of the Philippines.
I’ve tried around a few flavors, and hands down, the vegan leche flan is my favorite! My favorite milk tea I’ve tried. I crave it often. Make sure to request it vegan.
Corner Tree Cafe
Address: 150 Jupiter, Makati, 1209 Metro Manila, Philippines
Corner Tree Cafe is a vegetarian and mostly-vegan restaurant in Makati. I ate here maybe 9 years ago so I can’t really review it until I revisit!
Here’s some other favorite vegan restaurants in Manila and other surrounding cities:
- Cosmic Philippines (Pasig) – this location is a bit larger.
- Theejay BBQ (Santa Ana) – They serve the best vegan Filipino BBQ I’ve ever eaten. And all of their vegan Filipino dishes are also top notch. (Photos above.)
- Pizza Plant (San Juan) – Craving pizza? Order from Pizza Plant, an all vegan pizzeria. I’ve tried a few of their pizzas, and all were solid!
- WILD Plant Based Café Bar (BGC) – This is a food truck with outdoor seating located in Bonafacio City, or BGC. Their food looks SO good and it’s on top of my list to visit. They offer vegan burgers and vegan desserts.
