9 Kdrama Filming Locations in Suwon (2025)

I recently took a day trip to Suwon and tried to visit as many kdrama filming sites as I could.

Suwon itself is worth visiting and the city center gives off cozy-town vibes, with preserved historic sites.

Here are 9 kdramas filmed in Suwon to add to your next trip.

Most are in the city center and are within walking distance.

I also included kdrama filming locations in Suwon I wasn’t able to get to and would visit for next time.

➡️ Read my full day trip to Suwon itinerary (excluding the kdrama side quests).

1. Lovely Runner

The kdrama with the most scenes filmed in Suwon was Lovely Runner.

In total I visited 9 Lovely Runner filming locations in Suwon.

The 2 sites listed below are the most iconic ones.

For all locations, read my full post of 19 Lovely Runner Kdrama Filming Locations.

Im Sol’s and Ryu Sun-jae’s Houses

The entrance to a cozy cafe in Suwon, decorated with a vibrant yellow umbrella and lush greenery. From most popular kdrama filming locations in Suwon

Their houses are located right across from each other.

Sol’s house is currently a cafe called Mong Ted with the yellow umbrella deco in tact.

Sun-jae’s house with the blue door is I believe a private residence.

Haengnidan Street

A charming pedestrian street lined with quaint shops and cafes, basking in sunlight, with colorful decor adding a cheerful vibe to this "Lovely Runner filming locations."

A few blocks left of Sol’s house is a popular cafe street in Suwon called Haengnidan-gil where they go on a “date” after Sun-jae wins a swimming competition.

#1 Pick
A cheerful couple dressed in school sports uniforms share a lighthearted moment. The girl, smiling brightly, wraps her arms around the boy from behind as he looks confidently into the distance. The bright and airy background enhances their youthful and playful vibe.

2. Twenty Five, Twenty One

While most of Twenty Five, Twenty One was filmed in the city of Jeonju, this kdrama filming location in Suwon is one of the most recognizable sites in the show.

Hwaseong Fortress, Paldamun Gate

This is where Na Hee-do and Bae Yi-jin wait for the bus, and when he ties her shoe.

There is no actual bus coming through here.

It’s also shown in the last episode. ❤️‍🩹

I visited at night after hiking the Hwaseong Fortress:

A person walks under a stone arch bridge at night in Suwon, South Korea, a filming location from the K-drama "Twenty Five Twenty One." The softly lit pathway curves gently, surrounded by trees and streetlights that cast a warm glow. The historic charm of the bridge blends seamlessly with the quiet nighttime atmosphere.
