10 Kdrama Filming Locations in Jeju Island (2026)
Jeju Island is one of the most popular and memorable filming locations for kdramas, often used as the setting for hometown stories or as a backdrop for vacations and work trips.
I’ve visited Jeju three times now, and it’s always fun recognizing familiar spots while watching dramas, or visiting places specifically because they were on the show.
Below are ten kdramas filmed in Jeju Island, along with the kdrama filming locations for each.
While renting a car in Jeju makes getting around easier, many of the more popular filming spots can still be visited by bus:

1. King The Land
Jeju Island is featured in the kdrama King The Land when the leads Sa-rang and Won take a work trip to Jeju Island.
Parnas Hotel

While King the Land is primarily set in Seoul, the beautiful interior shots of the hotel lobby were actually filmed at the Parnas Hotel in Jeju.
Gapado Island

Technically right off of Jeju Island, Gapado Island is where Sa-rang and Won do a bicycle trip.
Sono Calm Jeju

When Sa-rang and Won go to Jeju to film hotel promo videos, they do a heart photo shoot at the “Heart Tree” at the Sono Calm resort in Jeju.
2. When Life Gives You Tangerines
Much of When Life Gives You Tangerines storyline is set in Jeju Island.
*Some filming locations appear to be filmed in Jeju, but were actually filmed outside of Jeju, or are locations that have similar features.
For example, the iconic yellow canola field scenes weren’t filmed in Jeju, but in Gochang in southwestern Korea—though you can still see canola fields across Jeju in the spring.
If you’re a fan of the kdrama, check out my Daegu day trip post for additional filming locations.
Seongsan Ilchulbong

The volcanic-formed peak is shown in episode 2 as the backdrop when Ae-sun is forced by her mother-in-law to perform prostrations at a temple.
Seongsan Ilchulbong is open for hiking. I’ve done the 30-minute hike up twice now and highly recommend it!

Gimnyeong Coast

Starting in episode 1, you’ll see the haenyeos gathering at black lava rocks. This was apparently filmed on the Gimnyeong Coast.
In November I visited Gimnyeong Beach, and you’ll see lava rocks and windmills.

Jejumok Gwana Government Office

In episode 8, Ae-sun and Gwan-sik write poems during a festival at Jejumok Gwana Government Office.
The entrance fee is 1,500 won, or about $1 USD.

3. Extraordinary Attorney Woo
The Extraordinary Attorney Woo filming scenes in Jeju specifically appear during episodes 12 and 13 when the law firm and friends take a trip to the island.
Gwaneumsa Temple

Gwaneumsa Temple is the temple Woo Young-woo and her team visit to help solve an ongoing case.
Sindo Port

Sindo Port, located on the western tip of Jeju, is where Young-woo and Jun-ho visit to see dolphins.
Saeyeongyo Bridge

Soo-yeon and Min-woo take a walk on the Saeyeongyo Bridge after getting snacks.
I’ve visited the bridge both during the day and at night, and each time was worth it, especially in the evening when you can walk across the bridge to explore the illuminated Saeseom Island.

4. Welcome to Samdal-ri
Welcome to Samdal-ri was primarily shot in Jeju Island. I’ll include the kdrama filming locations in Jeju I’ve visited including the most popular sites.
Samdal’s and Yong-pil’s House

The main filming location you’ll want to visit is Samdal’s house and the street where Yong-pil also lives, which many key scenes were filmed.
The house is graciously open to visitors.
When I visited in November 2025, the house still had promo posters hung up throughout the house.
Neighborhood Tree

If you keep driving north of the house, you can visit the large tree that the neighborhood residents often go to. Here’s my photo from the visit:

Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road

This Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road is a windmill farm that serves as the scene backdrop when Samdal finally confesses her feelings to Yong-pil.
I’ve visited the Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road twice now by bus and by rental car, and it’s surreal to stand so close and even under large windmills.

DoDuBong Peak

DoDuBong Peak is the viewpoint where Samdal and Yong-pil go to to unwind during their school days.
It’s a short hike but has lots of stairs and paved walkways. While I’ve seen better viewpoints in Jeju, it was a nice quick workout!

Secret Forest

In episode 10, Samdal and Yong-pil visit the Secret Forest to take photos.
The Secret Forest is a popular photo spot in Jeju Island filled with tall cypress trees. Entrance cost is 4,000 won, or $2.75 USD.
If you want to visit more of the kdrama’s filming locations in Jeju, this post covers it well.
5. Boys Over Flowers
Jeju Island is an important backdrop in Boys Over Flowers when Jun-pyo’s friends come to visit him in episode 21 (I won’t spoil it if you haven’t watched this classic yet!)
The Shore Hotel

The Shore Hotel is where the F4 crew and Jan-di stay during their Jeju Island trip.
Seopjikoji Peak

Jan-di and Ji-hoo meet at a cafe overlooking Seopjikoji Peak.
I visited Seopjikoji Peak during a recent trip, and I recommend visiting regardless. From my recent visit:

6. Legend of the Blue Sea
Maze Land

While some of the maze chase was filmed in Spain, some close-up shots were filmed at Maze Land in Jeju.
7. Island
Island’s storyline takes place in Jeju Island. Most filming spots seem to be in more remote locations.
They also did some night scenes at the Jeju airport in episode 2.
Here’s a main one you can visit:
Honeymoon House Cafe

The exterior of the main villa where the show’s characters stay at is the Honeymoon House Cafe. Wander around to explore familiar scenes from the kdrama.
Here is the Google Maps location to the cafe.
8. Our Blues
Our Blues is another kdrama that’s set in Jeju, though not all of it was filmed on the island. Here were some of the most popular sites in Jeju.
*Some sites were shot on islands right off of Jeju, like Biyangdo Island and Gapado Island.
Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road

In episode 1, Yeong-ok drives the haenyeos and the backdrop is the Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road.
Geumneung Beach

The Geumneung coast is the backdrop of the village in the kdrama.
The filming spot appears clearly when they do a photo shoot on Geumneung Beach in episode 15, which is one of my favorite beaches in Jeju — especially in summer when the water is beautifully clear:

Woljeongri Beach

In episode 5, Hyun runs down Woljeongri Beach to join Yeung-ju for her appointment.
I’ve visited this beach twice now, and it has a nice beach-town feel with windmills in the backdrop:

9. Alchemy of Souls
Yongmeori Coast

Yongmeori Coast was featured in Alchemy of Souls when Jang-uk looks for Mu-deok.
When I visited in November, this specific site was temporarily closed due to the weather, but the whole area was worth visiting, include views of Sanbangsan mountain with a temple built into the cliffs:

10. Dynamite Kiss
The kdrama Dynamite Kiss featured scenes in Jeju Island when Da-rim and Ji-hyeok meet. Da-rim is there to avoid her sister’s wedding, and Ji-hyeok visits on a work trip.
Secret Forest

Both Da-rim and Ji-hyeok and visit Secret Forest separately.
It’s the same location in Welcome to Samdal-ri where Samdal helps take wedding photos for a couple.
Dolhreubang Park

Da-rim runs into an old friend and ex-boyfriend at Dolhreubang Park.
Dolhreubang Park is an outdoor open museum featuring different variations of Jeju’s iconic Dol Hareubang folk sculptures.
Other Kdramas Filmed in Jeju

These are kdramas I have yet to watch (even though they’re classic ones!):
- Secret Garden
- Jewel in the Palace
Crash Landing on You and Tale of the Nine Tailed, which I have watched, both had brief filming scenes in Jeju Island, mostly in more remote areas around Mt. Hallasan.
I’ve only hiked the easiest Mt. Hallasan trail; the areas in the kdramas likely need more planning.
More Kdramas Filmed in Korea

I’ll continue to update this post if I come across more kdrama filming locations in Jeju.
