10 Popular Kdrama Filming Locations in Busan (2025)

There’s so many kdrama filming locations in Busan that you can visit.

I’ve been to Busan three times now but didn’t realize I’ve been to many of these until writing this post!

Here’s 10 kdramas with scenes filmed in Busan.

All locations are open to the public.

1. Fight for My Way

Fight for My Way has some of the most iconic kdrama filming locations in Busan.

Here’s two main filming sites to visit:

Namil Villa Stairways

A man and a woman walk down a narrow alleyway lined with pastel-colored houses and potted plants, descending a long staircase in a quiet residential neighborhood. The setting exudes a cozy, lived-in charm, with green vines creeping up the walls and flowers adding bursts of color. The man wears a white t-shirt with "BRO" printed on it, while the woman is dressed in a light gray suit, both engaged in casual conversation as they make their way down.

The stairway of Namil Villa shown throughout the kdrama is actually part of Hansung Apartment Buildings in Busan.

It’s open to visit but just be respectful as it’s still residential.

Hocheon Cultural Platform

A rooftop conversation scene from Fight for My Way, filmed in Busan, South Korea. Two characters sit on a rustic rooftop with a panoramic view of the city's glowing hillside houses. The setting is decorated with a neon sign, simple furniture, and bottles of soju, capturing an intimate moment. Most popular kdrama filming locations in Busan

While the rooftop terrace no longer has any setups left from the show, you can go over to Hocheon Cultural Platform, where there’s displays and memorabilia from the kdrama.

You’ll get nice views during the day, but it’s recommended to visit at night when it’s lit up.

2. The King: Eternal Monarch

The King: Eternal Monarch used a lot of soft lighting, but you can still recognize some of Busan’s backdrop.

Here’s 3 main kdrama filming locations in Busan to visit:

Ahopsan Forest

A regal-looking man dressed in an embroidered black and gold outfit stands in a dense bamboo forest, facing away from the camera. The towering bamboo stalks and soft glowing light create a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere.

Ahopsan Forest is one of the most recognizable filming sites in the kdrama, and serves as the portal between the two worlds.

Scenes from 100 Days My Prince and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo were also filmed here.

Ahopsan Forest is a bit far from city center, and a Busan day tour like this one that provides transportation plus takes you to additional sites might make more sense.

Dadaepo Beach

A man in a camel-colored coat rides a white horse along a vast sandy beach under a dramatic sky. Red lanterns float in the distance, and a lightning strike illuminates the dark clouds, creating a fantastical scene.

Dadaepo Beach is a popular kdrama filming location in Busan.

Some of the horse-riding scenes were filmed here. (Note: I don’t subscribe to horse-riding.)

Haeundae Square

A man on horseback rides through a bustling night market, surrounded by a cheering crowd. Snowflakes fall gently as red lanterns and colorful lights illuminate the scene, giving it a festive and cinematic feel.

In episode 9, the scene between Lee Gon and Lee Lim was filmed at Haeundae Square, a busy promenade leading to Haeundae Beach.

During the summer it’s lively and lit up at night like in the show.

3. Brewing Love

Brewing Love was my most rewatched kdrama in 2024.

Busan was referenced throughout the show, but here are two main locations to visit:

Songdo Beach

A serene view of Songdo Beach in Busan, South Korea, featured in Brewing Love. The sandy shore is dotted with beachgoers, colorful umbrellas, and people enjoying the water. Overhead, the Songdo Marine Cable Cars stretch across the sea, connecting the beach to the cliffs beyond.

When the team take a trip to Busan, they first meet at Songdo Beach, where you can see the Songdo Cable Cars from above.

A picturesque daytime scene from Brewing Love, filmed at Songdo Beach in Busan, South Korea. A group of characters pose within a red square photo frame on the sandy beach, with the ocean and cable cars in the background. The bright blue sky enhances the scenic coastal setting.

I’ve visited Songdo Beach during the day and night, and while the cable car views are better during the day, you have to see the Songdo Cloud Trails lit up at night:

The Songdo Cable Car glides over the illuminated pedestrian bridge and rocky shoreline at night, creating a dazzling cityscape against the dark sky. The bridge is lit with blue and red lights, while the cable cars reflect the glow of the city buildings in the distance. A cluster of white tetrapods lines the waterfront, contrasting with the shimmering water below.

Yongho Starlight Park

A romantic nighttime scene from Brewing Love, filmed at Yongho Starlight Park in Busan, South Korea. The illuminated park overlooks the city skyline, with colorful "Yongho" signage in the foreground. A character walks across the green space, adding to the dreamy atmosphere.

In episode 1, Yongju and Chan Hwi meet at Yongho Starlight Park, which is the starting and ending point of the Igidae Coastal Trail (my favorite hike in Busan!)

I’ve only visited Yongho Starlight Park during the day, and it seems better to visit at night.

4. Doctor Slump

Yongho Starlight Park

A bustling night market near the waterfront glows under a canopy of string lights, with rows of colorful food stalls and red plastic chairs scattered around. People are seen enjoying street food, engaging in conversation, and browsing the various vendors. In the background, the illuminated Gwangan Bridge stretches across the water, creating a lively and picturesque scene.

Another kdrama filmed at Yongho Starlight Park was Doctor Slump, though briefly in episode 14 when Jeong-woo eats with Ha-neul’s family.

Though it’s usually not as packed with food vendors like in the kdrama scene.

Gwangan Bridge

A bustling night market scene from Doctor Slump, filmed near Gwangan Bridge in Busan, South Korea. Strings of hanging lights illuminate food stalls with colorful tents, red plastic chairs, and people enjoying street food. The glowing bridge in the background adds to the lively atmosphere.

In the same episode there’s a backdrop of Gwangan Bridge lit up at night, which is viewable from Yongho Starlight Park as well.

Dadaepo Beach

A scenic sunset moment from Doctor Slump, filmed at Dadaepo Beach in Busan, South Korea. Two characters stand side by side, gazing at the golden sun dipping behind distant mountains. The calm ocean waves and soft hues of the sky create a peaceful, romantic ambiance.

The show ends with Jeong-woo Ha-neul visiting Dadaepo Beach, which is a popular place in Busan to watch the sunset.

5. Marry My Husband

Dadaepo Beach

A romantic scene from "Marry My Husband" filmed at Busan's Dadaepo Beach, where a couple shares an intimate embrace against a golden sunset. The sun casts a warm glow over the ocean, creating a shimmering path of light leading to the distant mountains on the horizon.

Marry My Husband is another kdrama that shot a sunset scene in Dadaepo Beach. This is from episode 11.

Jungni Harbor Lighthouse

A man and a woman walk side by side along a scenic coastal pathway, gazing out at the shimmering ocean under a bright blue sky. The red lighthouse stands prominently to the right, its vibrant color contrasting with the soft hues of the sea and distant mountains. Gentle waves lap against the concrete breakwater, while ships and small islands dot the horizon in the background.

In the same episode Jiwon and Inwoo visit Jungni Harbor Lighthouse.

It’s farther from city center, but located on Yeongdo Island where Huinnyeoul Culture Village is, which is worth visiting.

6. Strong Girl Nam-Soon

Their kdrama filming locations in Busan appear in episode 14 when Nam-soon spends time with her mom (from Mongolia).

Haeundae Beach

Two women walk arm-in-arm along the sandy shore of Haeundae Beach, with towering modern skyscrapers in the background. One wears a light green jacket and jeans, while the other is dressed in a beige dress, sharing a warm conversation under the clear blue sky.

Haeundae Traditional Market

A lively scene at Haeundae Traditional Market, where a young woman in a green jacket playfully offers food to an older woman in a beige dress. The street is lined with colorful storefronts, banners, and bustling shoppers enjoying the vibrant market atmosphere.

7. No Gain No Love

Most of the kdrama filming locations in Busan were from the day trips the characters took in episodes 9 and 12.

They visited some of the most popular places in Busan.

A collage of four images showcases filming locations from the K-drama No Gain No Love in Busan. The top left image shows a couple walking along the sandy shore of Haeundae Beach, dressed in neutral-colored coats, with modern buildings in the background. The top right image features the same couple sitting inside Busan Tower at night, overlooking the illuminated city skyline through large glass windows. The bottom left image captures them inside the Haeundae Blueline Park Beach Train, laughing and taking a selfie together. The bottom right image shows them at Yongdusan Park, posing for a selfie in front of a traditional Korean pavilion with red pillars. The locations are labeled in bold orange text.

Haeundae Beach

Hae-young and Ji-wook meet at Haeundae Beach.

This is my favorite beach in Busan to visit during the day.

Haeundae Blueline Park

The image shows two green capsule cars on an elevated track surrounded by lush greenery, part of the Haewol Skywalk Observatory in Busan, South Korea. Below, a pedestrian walkway with white railings leads toward the forested hillside, offering scenic views of the area. The modern infrastructure contrasts beautifully with the natural setting.

They ride the Haeundae Beach Train, where you’ll get scenic views of the coastline.

You can also ride the solo Sky Capsule.

Yongdusan Park

The image captures the Yongdusan Park Plaza in Busan, South Korea, featuring a traditional Korean pavilion with a black tiled roof supported by red pillars. Surrounding the plaza are landscaped gardens with vibrant autumn foliage, including trees with golden and orange leaves, as well as blooming pink flowers in the foreground. The scene is framed by a clear blue sky and scattered visitors enjoying the park's serene atmosphere.

They visit Yongdusan Park and take selfies throughout the park.

In the same area is the iconic Busan Tower, aka Diamond Tower. They go up to the top during the evening.

You can buy tickets online to go up the observatory.

Jeonpo Cafe Street and Haeundae

A young man and woman stroll down a charming alley lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, decorated with fairy lights and plants. The woman, wearing a beige cardigan and skirt, holds a drink while smiling at her companion, who is dressed in a long tan coat. Other patrons sit at outdoor tables, engaged in conversation, as warm lighting and eclectic signage create a welcoming atmosphere.

In episode 12, Ja-yeon and Gyu-hyun go on a date at Jeonpo Cafe Street area in Seomyeon.

They also eat at the Haeundae Traditional Market.

Gwangalli Beach

A romantic scene from "No Gain No Love" filmed at Gwangalli Beach, where a couple stands hand-in-hand under a night sky lit up by fireworks. The iconic Gwangan Bridge glows in the background with multicolored lights reflecting off the ocean.

Without spoiling anything, they have a cute scene in front of the lit up Gwangan Bridge.

Gwangalli Beach is my favorite place in Busan to visit in the evening.

8. My Name

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

A dramatic confrontation scene from "My Name" filmed at Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, featuring a sharply dressed man in a black suit. He faces off against an older man, flanked by his entourage, with the temple’s intricate details and stone pathways in the background.

This temple is shown in episode 4, where Pil-do confronts the mob.

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is situated on a cliff, with views of the coast.

When I visited in late November it was still quite crowded so visit earlier if you can.

Dadaepo Beach

A serene moment from "My Name" at Busan's Dadaepo Beach, where a man and a woman enjoy a quiet afternoon by the sea. They sit on a blanket with a picnic table set up beside them, looking out at the waves rolling gently onto the shore.

The scenes where Ji-woo hangs out at the beach with her dad were filmed in Dadaepo Beach.

9. Reborn Rich

Domoheon

An outdoor reception in front of a traditional Korean mansion with a tiled roof and red brick walls. Guests in formal attire are mingling at white-clothed tables, and large floral wreaths line the lawn, adding vibrant colors to the elegant setting.

The main filming location in Busan from Reborn Rich is the main mansion used in the kdrama.

It was actually a former Busan mayor’s residence, but is now open to the public as a cultural and cafe space called Domoheon.

10. Now, We Are Breaking Up

Their most recognizable kdrama filming locations in Busan was at the Hauendae Blueline Park in the very last episode

Blueline Sky Capsule

A man in a light-colored cardigan and white shirt stands near a red and white tram, looking to the side as the doors open. The reflection of passengers inside the tram is visible through the glass, and a blurred outdoor setting is seen in the background.

Jae-guk rides the Blueline sky capsule and passes by another cable car with Young-eun in it.

Hauendae Blueline Park

A scenic coastal view of the Haeundae Blueline Park Beach Train running along the shoreline during sunset. The train moves on elevated tracks beside a pedestrian walkway, with high-rise buildings in the background and golden light reflecting on the sea.

They both run into each while walking down the promenade that connects the different Hauendae Blueline Park stops.

I’ve walked this before and you can stop by different skywalk observatories along the coastline. Highly recommend!

Dongbaekseom Island

Jae-guk walks a path at Dongbaekseom Island.

A scenic coastal walkway on Dongbaekseom Island in Busan, featuring a wooden boardwalk winding along the rocky shoreline. A man in a light gray blazer walks up the stairs, surrounded by lush greenery, while the ocean stretches out beside him. In the background, tall modern skyscrapers overlook Haeundae Beach, and a small bronze mermaid statue sits on the rocks near the water.

Bonus: Black Panther

This isn’t a kdrama, but the iconic car chase scene in the movie Black Panther was filmed in Busan.

A dramatic nighttime car chase scene from Black Panther, filmed on Gwangan Bridge in Busan, South Korea. The illuminated bridge towers in the background as vehicles race across the highway. The city skyline and bridge lights create a stunning backdrop for the action sequence.

They pass through the Gwangan Bridge at night, plus around the Gwangalli Beach area lined with restaurants.

I’ll continue to add any more memorable kdrama filming locations in Busan.

There are always good kdramas coming out and I am always watching them! 🤣
