So far, a preliminary South Korea cherry blossom forecast has been released, and cherry blossoms are expected to bloom a few days earlier.

Usually though, it takes place closer to the last week in March to the first week of April.

1. Bulguksa Temple

During spring, the temple’s surroundings burst into vibrant pink colors, making it a top cherry blossom destination.

2. Bomun Lake

Bomun Lake, located in the Bomun Tourist Complex, is another main location to see cherry blossoms in Gyeongju. You can stroll along the lake’s promenade or take a boat ride.

3. Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond

This is another place where you can find some trees blooming with cherry blossoms. This is a site in Gyeongju that I highly recommend seeing at night too.

4. Daereungwon Tomb Complex

Daereungwon Tomb Complex houses ancient royal tombs, and will be lined with cherry blossoms during late March and early April.
