8 Most Popular Things to Do in Busan at Night (2025)

Busan’s one of my favorite cities to roam around at night as a solo traveler.

There’s always people out, especially by the beaches.

I’m usually wiped out from walking all day, but Busan has great nightlife attractions that shine at night.

I’ve visited Busan three times now, and there’s always somewhere to go.

Here’s 8 things to do in Busan at night + my bucket list of attractions for my next trip.

Is Busan Safe at Night?

A young woman wearing a jacket and carrying a backpack walks along a brightly lit street in Busan, South Korea, during the nighttime. The street is lined with various buildings and restaurants

There’s usually always people out at night, especially around more tourist and commercial areas.

Families, friends, and solo travelers, including women walk alone at night too, which made me feel more comfortable.

Still, while I’ve walked through dimly-litted alleys in Busan at night and I was fine, it’s always good to avoid this if you can and walk routes that have more lighting.

1. Gwangalli Beach

Gwangalli Beach is the most popular place to visit in Busan at night.

During my last trip, I stayed a block away from this beach just so I could pass by each night.

There will be people here throughout the evening, and the beach is lit up on all ends.

You’ll see the Gwangan Bridge, art work and statues lit up, as well as music performances each night.

Even on a cold Monday night in November, there were always people on the beach.

2. Millak Waterside Park

A 15-20 minute walk away from Gwangan Beach is Millak Waterside Park.

There’s sets of steps to relax on and look at the waterside views and Gwangan Bridge.

Many locals go here to eat and drink on the steps.

You’ll see it packed during the warmer months.

3. Songdo Cable Car

Songdo Cable Car, also known as Busan Air Cruise, gliding over the dark waters at night with city lights reflecting on the waves. A cable car with glowing yellow lights hangs in the foreground, while towering high-rises and illuminated bridges create a dazzling skyline in the background. The night sky is dotted with clouds, adding to the dramatic cityscape view.

At the Songdo Bay Station ride the cable car or tram to Songrim Park.

I’ve taken the Songdo Cable Car during the day and night.

I do prefer the clearer day views, but you can take the Songdo Cable Car up until 9pm.

A thrilling view from a Songdo Cable Car with a transparent glass floor, looking straight down at a curved wooden bridge illuminated by colorful red, green, and yellow lights. A person is seen walking on the bridge below, adding to the sense of height and perspective. The dark surroundings enhance the glowing effect of the bridge lights, making for a dramatic night scene.

I took the crystal glass tram and was able to see the water beneath me.

Songrim Park will also be lit up at night.

4. Songdo Cloud Trails

The illuminated walkway and colorful lights reflect beautifully on the water, adding a magical glow to the scene. In the background, the city skyline and mountain silhouettes enhance the atmosphere of this coastal attraction.

Right next door is the Songdo Cloud Trails adjacent to Songdo Beach.

This beach skywalk is both beautiful during the day and night, but it’s even better in the evening when it’s lit up with LED lights.

You see its light reflect on the water plus you get a view of the cable cars above.

5. Haeundae Beach

While Haeundae Beach is my favorite beach to visit during the day, it’s still a must visit at night.

This beach shines the most during the warmer months, where there’s more installations, nightlife, and music performances.

When I visited during a July, I caught the Haendae Sand Festival, where sand art is lit up at night.

There were also music festivals on the beach. I found it to be less busier than Gwangalli Beach during the colder months.

Definitely one of the most popular things to do in Busan at night in the summer.

6. Haeundae Square

Right before Haeundae Beach is Haeundae Square, which is always busy even during off-season months.

It’s lined with restaurants, bars, and shops.

During the summer months, there’s usually additional artwork displays like these photos here, as well as more street performances.

Haeundae Square at night, a lively pedestrian area in Busan, South Korea, lined with colorful neon signs, shops, and restaurants. The center of the plaza features illuminated flower beds with winding patterns, while paper lanterns in red, green, and blue hang above the bustling street. A ferris wheel glows in the distance as people stroll through the vibrant nightlife scene.

There’s also an alley leading to the Haeundae Traditional Market for additional shops and street food, including my favorite, hotteok.

7. Seomyeon District

Seomyeon District in Busan Korea: A bustling street in the Seomyeon district of Busan, Korea, lined with colorful signs, shops, and a few people walking along the path.

Seomyeon District is sometimes referred to as the “Hongdae of Busan.”

It’s the main area for nightlife in Busan.

This area has lots of trendy cafes, shopping spots, bars, and restaurants.

When I’m in the area, I always see streets filled with locals and younger gens.

If you’re looking to shop in Busan or looking for more lively things to do in Busan at night, go to Seomyeon, like Seomyeon Young Street and Jeonpo Cafe Street.

8. Blueline Park

Haeundae Blue Line Park in Busan, South Korea, featuring a series of illuminated bamboo archways decorated with hanging star and moon lanterns. The pathway is lined with soft lighting, creating a whimsical atmosphere against the backdrop of modern skyscrapers and traditional houses. Pedestrians stroll through the enchanting walkway as dusk sets in.

Mipo Station is the starting point of the Haeundae Blueline Park.

At night, the area has food and storefront trucks and decorative lights.

Songdo Cloud Trails in Busan, South Korea, illuminated at night with a sleek pedestrian bridge stretching over the water. The reflections of city lights shimmer on the rippling surface, while the background showcases towering high-rise buildings glowing against the dark sky. The bridge's modern design and bright lighting contrast with the deep night colors.

These attractions are sites that are known to have night views, but I have not yet been to.

I’m planning to go to Busan for the 4th time soon, and will check these out:

Sites I’ve visited during the day, but are good at night too:

The photograph captures a serene riverside view of Huinnyeoul Culture Village with a striking yellow building featuring blue awnings on the right, adding a pop of color to an overcast day. In the distance, a bridge spans the wide river, connecting the urban skyline dotted with high-rises to the lush green hillside. The juxtaposition of nature and urban development is evident, offering a peaceful yet vibrant cityscape.
