Air Premia Vegan Meal Options (Review + Photos)

I’ve flown twice now with Air Premia, back in November 2024 and recently in June 2025. Thankfully they have a vegan meal option!

There’s not really any photos or reviews online, so I didn’t know what to expect.

Here’s my review of the Air Premia vegan meal option plus how to reserve it.

Air Premia Vegan Vegetarian Meal Options

Technically, they provide two vegan meal options:

  1. Vegan meal: “A meal free of all meat, fish, poultry, animal fat, gelatin, eggs and dairy products.”
  2. Fruit Meal: “A meal consisting of fruit only.”

Air Premia Vegan Meal Review

My flights were 10 hours from Seoul to San Francisco.

They provided 2 meals plus a snack bar, which unfortunately wasn’t vegan and was handed to everyone.

Though I wasn’t handed one during my 2nd time flying with them.

Here’s what I got:

First meal (dinner time): vegetable curry with rice, marinated eggplants, side of vegetables, and rice pudding.

Air Premia vegan meal dinner tray with white rice, vegetable curry, grilled zucchini, sautéed mushrooms, and fresh vegetables wrapped in rice paper.

This curry was quite spicy and needed a tad more salt but the marinated eggplant side was nicely seasoned so it balanced it out.

The rice pudding was good though the rice was a bit hard (our flight was delayed from the snow so maybe that’s why).

The side of veggies were unseasoned bell peppers, tomatoes and a vegetable roll. I just dipped them in the curry.

2nd meal: vegetable curry with rice, marinated zucchinis, side of salad, and rice cake snack.

Air Premia vegan meal served on an airplane, featuring a tray with rice, grilled zucchini, roasted vegetables, a tomato slice, and a labeled rice cake snack (VGML: Vegetarian Vegan Meal).

Interestingly, this curry was not as spicy as the first one.

The marinated vegetables were similarly seasoned so it balanced out the curry plus the unseasoned salad.

When I flew with them again, the meals were basically the same.

How to Request an Air Premia Vegan Meal

They’ve changed it now so you can reserve your special meal on their website.

Previously, you had to contact them through phone or email.

Go to your booking and select “Additional services management.”

Then click on “Vegan meal” and hit “Save.”

Special meal request screen for flight ICN to SFO, with "Vegan meal" selected under the passenger Roseanne, alongside options for regular and seafood meals.

To confirm that the meal was processed, you can check / download your PDF itinerary or go through the process again and will show the selected vegan meal.

They do add a yellow sticker on the vegan meals that says: “This meal is prepared according to strict vegan guidelines, no animal product or by products are used in the preparation of the meal.”

Thumbs Up for Air Premia Vegan Meal

For a budget airline, their vegan meals were quite decent. Not the best, but not my least favorites either.

Plus, the flight attendants are friendly and the seats are spacious.

(Only con is that their entertainment options are pretty limited and no English subs are provided if you’re not able to read or understand Korean.)

The meal portions are slightly smaller than other airlines, but I think it was just the right amount for a flight.

They also confirm your vegan meal before the flight takes off.

And as with other airlines, special meals will be served before other passengers.

I would fly with them again, just bring additional snacks if needed.
